An annual summer-long community festival is set to return this month and provide a summer of entertainment, fun and activity.
The Take Part, Take Pride festival, co-ordinated by Sutton Council, aims to bring local residents together and provide fun activities for all the family to do.
Returning this month and running until late September 2014, Sutton residents can take part in events including the Carshalton Charter Fair, the Belmont Festival and the big dance week in Sutton town centre.
Mary Morrissey, Strategic Director Environment and Neighbourhood at Sutton Council, said:
“This summer-long festival always proves to be very popular with our residents, which perhaps explains why it keeps returning year-on-year.
“The whole idea behind Take Part Take Pride is to bring people in Sutton together and provide plenty of things for the whole family to get involved in and enjoy.
“There is plenty of opportunity for residents to take part and create their own events too, whether it’s a street party or a playing out day, there is so much for residents to feel proud of Sutton this summer.”
People organising events open to Sutton residents can contact Sutton Council to have their event publicised in the Take Part, Take Pride summer guide. Complete the simple form on www.sutton.gov.uk/takeparttakepride or send the details in an e-mail to
