France at Home is coming back to Worcester Park on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th May.
It will take place in High street from 9am to 5 pm every day
French Traders, coming from Normandy, will be selling a wide range of authentic produce from France including bread and patisserie, pancakes, French cheeses and wines, leather handbags, olives from Provence, paté and saucisson from Normandy, wooden toys, basketwork and French music.
Mary Morrissey, Strategic Director Environment and Neighbourhood at Sutton Council said
“We are so glad that the French Market is returning to Worcester Park. Shoppers love the added vibrancy and fun that the street market always brings and existing retailers will benefit from the extra people who come to the area”
Among all the fantastic products, you will be happy to buy some of them and so many more.
Bakery, biscuits and crepes: This is something that the French do best. The variety and styles of breads is truly amazing. You will certainly have to watch your waistline when you are tempted by the delicious crepes and cakes.
Cheese and Sausages: These are just two of the variety of foodstuffs available. There is a full range of cooked meats and a delightful range of delicious crepes, biscuits and much more.
Music: treasure trove of vintage music from the 20′s to the 50′s. You will find amongst others CDs of the great of the Chansons Francaises from Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet to Jacques Brel and George Brassens, Accordeon music, Swing from the likes of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, Dixieland from New Orleans, Jazz, Blues and much more.
Hats, Scarves, Bags: Try on a French chapeau or choose a leather hand crafted bag to go with your outfit. Then further accessorise it with a Paris styled scarf – but be warned there is such a huge choice it could take some time.
Come and say Bonjour to Worcester Park French Market
