In total three housing schemes in Sutton that look after vulnerable residents have been injected with £180,000 worth of funding from the London Fire Brigade.
Part of the funding has gone towards a state of the art sprinkler system that has been installed in 37 homes.
The injection in funding comes as part of the London Fire Brigade’s Community Investment Fund.
This project comes as part of Better Contacts, which is a key partnership between the London Fire Brigade and Sutton Council. This focuses on training fire-service men and women so that they can offer services to residents that might be available to them by the council.
You can read more about Better Contacts here, which includes free Home Free Home Fire Safety Visits.
